Viera Children’s Academy is open from
7am – 6:30pm Monday through Friday. At VCA, whether
enrolled full time or part time or in the VPK program, your
child will enjoy our best. AT VCA, We boast an excellent
child to staff ratio. We believe in parents as partners
and welcome volunteers on field trips, to share hobbies,
or to read to the children during our Thursday afternoon
story hour. Our curriculum also offers exposure to shapes,
colors, numbers and letters, as well as Spanish as a foreign
language.
Our program provides learning, socialization, and enrichment
in a warm, safe, and nurturing environment. VCA is open
year round to accommodate the needs of today’s working
families with closings for most major holidays, a summer
break the last week in July and a winter break at Christmas
time.
We respect each child’s individuality and plan the
day around our little people’s uniqueness. We are
mindful of your child’s first time away from home
and offer caring, nurturing and love in a home like safe
and healthy environment. A daily report is given in the
form of developmental milestones and of your little one’s
progress.
Toddlers learn and grow by discovering
and exploring the world around them. Our toddlers’
program is designed to offer activities that foster learning,
language development, sharing, self-help skills and socialization
in a fun atmosphere.
Pre-School
The pre-school years are vital for early learning and socialization.
We are however mindful that for pre-school work is play.
Our curriculum promotes a hands-on active learning, encouraging
each child to make choices and develop and learn at their
own pace. Learning Centers enhance the daily curriculum
and weekly themes for our pre-school children encourage
problem solving, thinking skills, fundamentals of reading,
writing, mathematics, science and other content areas. OUR FOURS WILL BE “FIT FOR FIVE”
School Age
Children age 6-12 may attend our before and after school
program. Parents will be assured that their children are
in a safe place until pick-up.
This program offers homework guidance as well as work in
interest areas or areas to relax and unwind at the end of
a long day. Outdoor activity areas may be shared by all.
Parents as Partners
We believe in parents as partners and welcome volunteers
on field trips, to share hobbies, or to read to the children
during our Thursday afternoon story hour.
Reading Program
“Reading maketh the full man.” Our Early Phonics
reading program will be sure to foster a love of reading
and a healthy respect for the power of books. We encourage
parent participation in reading a book a day with their
child. “VCA puts reading first”.
Summer Programs
Our thematic weekly programs offer fun filled days in our
Water Park as well as arts and craft, story time, field
trips in and around Brevard County, reading enhancement,
cooking, music/movement and so much more.
Foreign Language
Children are sponges at an early age. It is proven that
children grasp a foreign language with early exposure and
tend to speak a new language easier than adults. With that
in mind, our children will be introduced to Spanish in the
daily curriculum. Private Spanish lessons will also be offered.
We also offer private Spanish, French, American Sign Language lessons
