About VCA
VCA is situated on approximately 3 acres of “park-like”
property. The facility is equipped with security cameras,
developmentally appropriate furnishings and supplies. Our
age appropriate playgrounds are designed with equipment that
enhances gross motor skills. The Water Splash Area provides
cooling and fun for our youngsters, especially in the summer
months.

VCA is open from 7am–6:30pm Monday through Friday.
We offer a Whole Language/Hi-Scope curriculum that encourages
hands–on active learning. Families will partner with
dedicated well prepared early childhood staff to make early
learning years a fun experience. We welcome volunteers on
field trips, to share hobbies, or to read to the children
during our Thursday afternoon story hour. Our High Scope/
Creative Curriculum encourages "Child-initiated, Teacher
-directed" activities. We encourage creativity, foster
socialization and problem solving skills and support our children
as they work toward developing other readiness skills. Our
program exposes our children to:

Teacher Accreditations
Our staff members are carefully screened and selected for
their strong commitment to their profession as well as for
their skills, experience and mostly for their love of children.
The staff meets, and in most cases, exceeds, Brevard County
Licensing Regulations. Many of our teachers have advanced
degrees and /or related educational experience.
Our Lead Teachers have a minimum of the Florida Child Care
Professional Credential (formerly known as the CDA) all the
way to Master’s prepared. Our Teacher Assistants and
Teacher Aides must have at least two years experience
in the Early Childhood field. All staff of Viera Children’s
Academy must complete a Level II background screening, FDLE
clearance and all references are checked. Our staff must also
complete the 40 hours state mandated training courses for
child care workers. We have a registered nurse on the premises
daily.
