Viera Children's Academy is an 11,000 square foot State-of-the-Art
early learning center housing approximately 150 children.
We are open Monday through Friday from 7am to 6:30pm.
At VCA, whether enrolled full time, part time or in the VPK
program, your child will receive the very best in early learning
education with a well rounded age appropriate curriculum.
AT VCA, We boast an excellent child to staff ratio. We believe
in parents as partners and welcome volunteers on field trips,
to share hobbies, or to read to the children during our Thursday
afternoon story hour. Our curriculum also offers exposure
to shapes, colors, numbers and letters, as well as Spanish
as a foreign language.
The center employs a qualified staff who meet the criteria
as experts in early childhood development. Parents will be
able to leave their children at VCA with confidence and peace
of mind. We partner with families, Viera, and Brevard County
to bring in other needed programs which will enhance early
childhood development.
We Believe:
• Early childhood should be a time of fun, warmth, and
security!!
• Children need a safe, nurturing environment in order
to develop to their full potential i.e., emotionally, socially,
intellectually, and physically.
• Each child is unique and should be encouraged and
challenged to develop at his or her own pace.
• Children need to learn positive ways to resolve conflict.
• Discipline should be positive, not punitive.
• Children learn through play and age appropriate activities.
• Child care professionals should always maintain a
sense of humor.
Accreditations:
Viera Children's Academy is proud to have a Gold Seal accreditation
through A.P.P.L.E! Gold Seal accredited centers are held to
much stricter guideline compared to those centers who do not
hold an accreditation. The accreditation process requires
each school to meet specific quality standards in areas such
as interactions among teachers and children, staff to child
ratios, developmental appropriateness of the curriculum, staff
qualifications, health and safety, and administration. It
also requires schools to undergo a validation process to verify
their compliance with APPLE guidelines which may be more stringent
than state licensing requirements.
Our Curriculum:
Along
with High-Scope® , and Creative Curriculum®, our curriculum
follows the guidelines for developmentally appropriate practice
established by National Association for the Education of Young
Children (NAEYC).
